Multi-point resistance welding machines UTM have several pairs of electrodes and are designed for welding wire meshes and fittings.
Such machines can be equipped with mechanisms for feeding transverse and longitudinal bars, mechanisms for moving the mesh, as well as a baler for finished mesh. These will already be automatic lines.
When welding several points at the same time, such machines can consume very high power: hundreds or even thousands of kVA. If the electrical network is powerful and allows this welding method, then this provides the highest productivity.
If the network does not withstand the load, then sequential welding is used: either one point at a time, or groups of points are welded. Machines can compress all the points at once and then sequentially supply current, or separately compress points and groups of points, conducting the weld in sections.
